SCUBA Diving

Both the McARTHUR and small boats (RHIBs) are used as a platform for SCUBA diving. In most cases, scientific diving is done from the RHIBs while the diving that is done directly off the McARTHUR is usually for maintenance or inspection purposes. All ship's crew required to dive for work have been certified through the NOAA Diving Program.
