Survey Department

Engineering Department
FAIRWEATHER's engineering department is responsible for everything mechanical aboard the ship--from the main engines to a burnt out light bulb. Both licensed and unlicensed positions can be found on the ACES website.

Deck Department
FAIRWEATHER's deck department is responsible for deploying, recovering, and operating small boats and hydrographic launches, handling cargo, and anchoring
and docking the ship. The department also maintains the ship's external
structure, rigging, boats, weather decks, and interior spaces. |

Steward Department
FAIRWEATHER's steward department prepares meat and vegetarian meals for the crew in the galley. The FAIRWEATHER has, hands down, the best food in the fleet. The steward department also orders and stows the food, and maintains the mess decks and visitors' state rooms. |
