Deck Department

The Deck Department consists of six people, one Chief Bo'sun (CB), one Lead Fisherman (LF), two Skilled Fisherman (SF), one Fishermen (F) and one Ordinary Fisherman (OF). They are responsible for the operation of deck machinery, deploying and recovering instruments and nets, handling cargo, operating the small boats, and anchoring and mooring the ship. The department also maintains the ship's external structure, rigging, boats, weather decks, and interior spaces except the engine room.
