Survey Department

We have one Senior Survey Technician (SST). The Survey Department is responsible for the acquisition of oceanographic observations and assists in the collection of marine life specimens and data analysis. The Survey Department also maintains the equipment, lab spaces, and scientific freezers.

Been on McARTHUR II since, July, 1998.

US Army Paratrooper Retired. Sailed on the McArthur and the McArthur II. Graduate of the school of Hard Knocks. Started as an Ordinary Seaman, then promoted to Able Bodied Seaman, then promoted to Survey Technician in 2001.
