Capt. Hubner joined the Navy at 17. He started with NOAA in 1980, as an OS, worked into a Quarter Master then the Chief Quarter Master. Greg has sailed on the Mt Mitchell, Davidson, McArthur. He Became the 3rd Mate (Nav), 2nd Mate (FOO), and Chief Mate (XO) on the McArthur and joined the McArthur II as Chief Mate May 20th 2003. He assumed command of the McArthur II on August 8th, 2005
