Executive Officer- LT Jay Lomnicky, Hometown: Seattle, WA

Has been on McArthur II since November 2008

LT Lomnicky joined McArthur II's wardroom as Field Operations Officer in Nov 2008 after completing a shore assignment as the Benthic Mapping Specialist for the Alaska Fisheries Science Center RACE Divison. His previous assignments took him to Alaska aboard NOAA Ships Rainier and Fairweather and to the Gulf of Mexico for hurricane Katrina relief work aboard Thomas Jefferson. He graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

Operations Officer-LTJG Chad Meckley, Hometown: Reading, PA

Has been on the McArthur II since January 2011

LTJG Meckley joined the McArthur II’s wardroom as FOO in January 2011, after completing his shore billet as the Vessel Operations Coordinator at Gray’s Reef National Marine Sanctuary in Savannah, GA. His previous sea assignment was aboard the, now decommissioned, Albatross IV in Woods Hole, MA. LTJG Meckley has also augmented aboard the Delaware II and the Nancy Foster. He attended Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Environmental Studies.

Navigation Officer- ENS Alice Dury, Hometown: Tacoma, WA

ENS Drury graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Environmental Studies. ENS Drury is excited to be aboard McArthur II and to contribute to the ship's various missions.

Junior Officer - ENS Kelli-Ann Bliss, Hometown: Coventry, RI

Has been on the McArthur II since July 2010

ENS Kelli-Ann Bliss graduated from Maine Maritime Academy with a bachelors in Marine Science. She spent the next six years running a water testing lab before joining NOAA Corps in 2010. Her first assignment is on McArthur II. She enjoys the challenges that life at sea provides and the new skills she is learning. ENS Bliss enjoys cooking, outdoor winter sports, kung fu, and motorcycle riding.

Junior Officer - ENS Philip J. Klavon, Hometown: Leonardtowm, MD

Has been on the McArthur II since January 2010

ENS Klavon joined McArthur II’s wardroom in December 2010, after graduating BOTC 117. ENS Klavon has a degree in natural resource management from the University of Maryland, College Park. Previous work experiences include; avian, mammal, and reptile wildlife biology, stream restoration, and water quality monitoring.
