Oiler-Philip David Bianco, Hometown: Rapid City , S. Dakota

Has been on the McARTHUR II since July 2006

Phil has worked in a number of different fields including elevator maintenance, bartending and manufacturing. He was raised in New York, NY and has also lived in Texas, South Dakota, and Nevada. In 1980 he attended Midland College. His sailing career began in 2005 and he joined NOAA in 2006. Phil looks forward to retirement in 8 years

Wiper - Linda Halderman, Hometown: Fairbanks, Alaska

Has been on the McArthur II since April 2007

From 1991 to 2005 Linda worked in the Merchant Marine as a junior engineer aboard steam driven container ships for Matson Navigation and American President Lines. She also served aboard Ready Reserve vessels supporting the American and International Coalition Military Forces in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004.
