Chief Boatswain - Greg Walker, Hometown: Jacksonville , FL

Been on Nancy Foster since, February 2006.

Greg joined the Nancy Foster 3 years ago after retiring from the Navy. His naval career included active duty in Desert Storm and Desert Shield, Quartermaster (Navigation), and Career Recruiting. He also worked as a LCU Craftmaster with the Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit (E.O.D.) in Mine Recovery, serving as support for fleet divers that trained sea lions to aid in the recovery and deployment of mines. After retiring in 2006, Greg spent six months with his family before joining NOAA as an Unlimited Able Bodied Seaman. Due to his considerable experience, he can work on any type of vessel, thus the title Unlimited.”

Boatswain Group Leader - Gordon Pringle, Hometown: Ivydale, West Virginia

Been on Nancy Foster since, February 2008.

BGL Pringle was born in the wild and wonderful state of West Virginia, in the county of Clay, and the very small town of Ivydale. After graduating from high school, he entered into military service where he spent two wonderful years in the sunny tropics of South Vietnam. After this escapade, he worked in WV for awhile but decided a life of adventure was for him. He then joined NOAA in 1972 on the FERREL. From that time until the present he has served on five different NOAA vessels. He quotes; “Like the mountains he came from, the grass is always greener on the other side”.

Deck Utilityman - Ben Nolan, Hometown: Aquasco, Maryland

Been on Nancy Foster since, February 2008.

AB Nolan was previously in the US Navy at ACU - 4 as a Loadmaster. He is married to his wife Ann and has three sons who reside in Norfolk, VA.

Able Bodied Seaman - Junior Miranda, Hometown: New York, NY

Been on Nancy Foster since, July 2009.

AB Miranda was in the US Navy as a Boatswains mate. He has one son and one daughter who reside in New York.
