Senior Survey Technician - Samantha Allen, Hometown: Mathews, Virginia Been on Nancy Foster since, March 2009. SST Allen earned her degree in Geology at Kansas State University. After graduation, she took a position as Lab and Field Technician for a Biological Oceanography Lab at Georgia Institute of Technology. In January 2008, Samantha joined NOAA as an Assistant Hydrographic Survey Technician aboard Rainier and in early 2009 transferred to the Nancy Foster. |

Survey Technician - Laurie Roy ST Roy has a B.S. in Oceanography from Humboldt State University in Northern California. She worked as a marine technician on various UNOLS vessels, and attended graduate school at the University of South Florida in St. Petersburg, FL before coming to NOAA in Mar 2010. She augmented on the Thomas Jefferson, Oscar Dyson and Nancy Foster before becoming a permanent crew member in Nov 2010. |
