COMMANDING OFFICER

Commander Hoshlyk assumed command of the Oscar Dyson in July of 2008. CDR Hoshlyk received a BS in Biology & Geology from University of Rochester, completed Pacific Maritime Institute's Chief Mate to Master Program, and received a MBA in Defense Business Management from the Naval Postgraduate School.

CDR Hoshlyk's vessel experience includes: NOAA Ships Ronald H. Brown, Ka'imimoana, Miller Freeman, Mcarthur, Ferrel, Townsend Cromwell, John N. Cobb; USACE Dredges ESSAYONS & YAQUINA, R/V THOMAS G. THOMPSON, R/V WECOMA.

CDR Hoshlyk currently holds a Chief Mate Any Gross Tons / Master 1600 GRT Oceans License and is certified as a NOAA Master Working Diver.
