Been on Oregon II since, July, 2006.

CB Jeffords comes to the Oregon II after working on sea going tugs and ships since 1989, and a prior service as a U.S. Merchant Marine. His quote of the day is, “Love to fish, what else is there?”

Lead Fisherman - Tim Martin, Hometown: Lexington , MO.

Been on Oregon II since, September 2004.

Prior to joining the Oregon II, LF Martin worked aboard the NOAA Ship Delaware II. He has also worked 7 years as a commercial fisherman in the fridge waters of the Bering Sea. When not sailing on the Oregon II 243 sea days per year, LF Martin finds time for football, golf, scuba diving, and basketball.

Skilled Fisherman - Chuck Godwin, Hometown: Winter Park , FL.

Been on Oregon II since, July 2001.

“Chuck” was born in Winter Park, Florida and now splits his time between Andalusia, Alabama and Pascagoula, Mississippi where he has homes. He graduated from the University of Florida, Class of 1991, with a BA in History. He was in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1991-2001, serving aboard the USCG CUTTER Neah Bay in Cleveland, Ohio, (SAR) Station Dauphin Island and Marine Safety Office Mobile, both in Alabama. After the Coast Guard he taught history at Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama. As an alumnus of Florida, he avidly follows the Gator football and basketball teams. Chuck is the ships resident artist, he often does ships crew caricatures and has designed some of the ships t-shirts. When not sailing, Chuck finds time for tennis, golf, fine cigars and a cold pilsner draft. He is an avid hunter and is known for his tasty deer jerky. Other interests include: blues music, gothic horror novels and Dungeons and Dragons.

Skilled Fisherman - Mike Conway, Hometown: Williston, FL.

Been on Oregon II since, May, 2008.

Mike Conway is from Cleveland, Ohio and sailed on the Great Lakes Ore carriers for a couple of seasons. He has a daughter and four grandchildren living there. He likes to golf, scuba dive, play racket ball and read non fiction books. He started with NOAA in 1984 and has been aboard three of the Class I ships, of which two made around the world cruises. He's also made a few trips to Antarctica and USSR on the NOAA Ship Surveyor.
