In the above photo, the deck department is deploying a fish trap off the stern. The traps are attached by line to hi-flyers on the surface. Recovery of the trap will occur at least one but maybe several hours later on the starboard side of the forward well deck. Fish Trap & Camera deployments are utilized during the Oculina / Gag-Grouper Survey and Reef Fish Surveys to capture and record fish at locations of varying bottom features.
