Coming to us as a retired Navy cook, Steward Acob attended the Naval Culinary Institute (Class of 2001), has a bachelor in housing management, and attended the Naval Leadership School and the Navy’s Flag & Mess Operations "C" School. When he’s not cooking up some real tasty chow for hungry fisherman, he finds time for fishing, cooking, gardening and biking. |

Second Cook - Walter Coghlan, Hometown: Ocean Springs, MS.
Walter Coghlan was born in Pascagoula MS, and latter moved to Hattiesburg, MS with his family. He now resides in the Ocean Springs area with his wife and kids. He served 21 years in the Navy as a Culinary Specialist. He retired in Feb 2007 as a Chief Culinary Specialist. He has a Bachelors degree in the Culinary Arts and is currently a Licensed Chef De Cuisine. He has served with NOAA since May of 2008 and had been assigned to the Delaware II and is currently assigned to the Oregon II. |
